Only for vascular surgical nurses, cosmetic nurses, advanced medical laser technicians, and medical physicians new to the laser.

Start your class time with a review of the theory behind vascular leg vein treatments and laser devices and how they work to target unwanted veins. You need this solid underpinning knowledge to know where to start, who is a suitable candidate, and what cautions you will need to manage for this type of specialised treatment.

After this workshop day, you will have gained confidence in what you are doing, you will feel more reassured that what you are doing or about to do is correct, you will be made aware of the risks and be in a better position to make good decisions on behalf of your client’s leg vein reduction goals, and be able to up-sell your existing treatments with new confidence you are working within your scope of practice and with the correct skills you need to succeed as a vascular laser practitioner.

You will be mastering the ND: YAG laser device which is the gold standard worldwide for leg vein treatments. Your tutor Stacey Spencer-King works in a vascular clinic regularly and can provide guidance on real-world clinical situations. Both Stacey & Co-tutor Ruth Nicholson only teach within their scope of practice as such, this class does not teach varicose veins or endovenous lasers (EVLT).
