To earn an NZLT Diploma, you must complete all of the required individual stand-alone certification courses within your chosen diploma pathway.
As you progress, you’ll receive individual course certificates, and once all the steps are completed, you can apply for your NZLT Diploma at no extra charge.

You can complete your diploma in as little as one year, or take up to three years. All courses must be finished within 36 months from the start date of your first course.

You have two options:
Save 10% total cost across all courses in the Diploma when you pay upfront for the entire diploma (applies to the first diploma you apply for only).
Pay as you go, enrolling in individual courses over time.

Yes! If you wish to complete multiple diplomas, any additional diplomas must be completed within two years of starting your first course. The 10% discount does not apply to second or subsequent diplomas.

Yes! Each course within the diploma pathway is completed and certified individually. Once you’ve successfully finished all required courses, you can apply for your diploma at no extra cost.

In most cases, our Laser Safety Certifications (LSC series) is the best option as it outlines regulations, client rights and client care, hygienic practices, and the differences between types of light we use, and how IPL and lasers differ, and much more… all LSC certifications offer professional development, afterwhich you can start learning how treatments work through our individual topic courses.

No. NZLT Diplomas are exclusive to NZLT students, and courses from other training providers cannot be cross-credited or transferred.

While your diploma itself does not expire, individual course certifications may require renewal over time to stay up to date with industry best practices and evolving safety standards. We reccommend a renewal timeframe of 3 years for laser safety, and 5 years for Laser Health & Safety Officer training certificates.

Yes! Our flexible study options allow you to complete courses at a pace that fits your schedule.
To complete the required practical elements - simply book our trainer come to your clinic and use your own IPL or Laser device. Learn more about booking your on-site sessions
If you want to fast-track your diploma, you can enrol in your next individual course when you’re ready, which could be around 6 weeks apart, this way you will be on track to complete them faster.

Yes! Each course successfully completed will gain CPD points which are used towards your free NZLT Diploma.

DIPLOMA CONDITIONS
The Diploma course that the learner enrols in, is charged in full or per enrolment as determined when the learner first enrols. On completion of all required programme steps in the Diploma pathway, the learner must apply to us for the relevant diploma, which is issued at no extra charge. Learners must complete all required steps for us to verify they possess the required skills and knowledge. Along the way, you will gain NZLT Institute CPD points and selective UK-based CPD points (continuing professional development points), and gathering these also reflects how many hours you have completed. Certain technicians will have the opportunity to be listed publicly showing you meet our high standards.
Diplomas are exclusively promoted to Learners who have enrolled with NZ Laser Training Institute - courses completed at other training facilities are not eligible for cross credits or recognition of prior learning on the Diploma pathways.
All courses within the Diploma must be completed within a total of 36 months (3 years) from the commencement date of the first course started.
Enrol & pay in full for all courses on your 1st Diploma and receive a 10% discount, which applies to 1st Diploma only, the 10% is excluded from the Practical Training.
Learners that wish to complete 2 or more Diplomas, must complete it within a 2-year timeframe from when they started the 1st course of their 1st Diploma (any additional Diplomas they enrol in after their main and initial Diploma). The 10% discount is not applicable for the 2nd or additional Diplomas. Individual course certificates & re-certification will not be applied to the additional courses within the additional Diplomas but would need to be completed again.
NZ Laser Training Institute reserves the right to make alterations to our Diploma offerings, pathways & pricing as we see fit, regardless if you have commenced your study.
Practical training takes place at your Clinic on your device. A minimum and maximum number of people in the room. Models will need to arranged prior to us attending this can be arranged by us, if arranged by the clinic we have first right of refusal if they do not meet our requirements and training may not take place. Regional training out of the Auckland region will incur additional fees. Further conditions may apply and will be advised by NZLT.
