The short laser safety programme is designed for those working with industrial lasers in their workplace. It references the AS/NZS International and National Laser Safety Standards, Health & Safety at Work Act 2015 and HSWA Regulations 2016.
Operators of lasers need to be aware of hazards and risks associated with operating lasers in their workplace, this includes understanding how Health and Safety Laws in New Zealand relate to laser as a recognised workplace hazard.
Recommended for: Anyone using, working near, or needing to know about the safe operation of laser devices (in particular Class 3b and Class 4) in New Zealand workplaces such as manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, science, agricultural, commercial design, or factory processing industries.
