LASER SAFETY CERTIFICATION pathway guide
Gaining a certificate in laser safety may be the best starting point for you if you are looking at getting into IPL or Lasers. It teaches you the differences between IPL and Laser devices, best practices, and regulations, understand client rights as per the laws in NZ, how to choose the correct safety glasses for any device used, and how to set up a safe clinic. After this certification, it is essential to complete operator theory training and then practical training, to be able to operate a device safely and effectively using the correct technique.
Laser safety as a topic is generic and can be applied across multiple industries - However, our programmes are customised to make them relevant to your specific industry whether that is for healthcare (beauty & medical), or related healthcare such as in optometry, or industrial workplaces (eg: construction, manufacturing, engineering etc..)
- Gaining a laser safety certification is step 1 in your laser learning journey and a requirement as interpreted under various New Zealand laws -
