Ideally from a Beauty therapy, Medical or Nursing background, with a genuine interest and commitment to learning and studying complex healthcare topics
Suitable for diligent students or mature learners aged 18+ years;
You do not need to be actively working in the industry to start this learning; however, it is an advantage.
International students are welcome to enrol and study from overseas. This programme may be suitable if you intend to immigrate to NZ and gain work here - e.g.: learn all about the regulations that apply to you while you work here in New Zealand. Please note: we cannot assist you with work placement.
Learning Commitment
Complete all 8 steps of theory-based study over 12 months.

Request NZLT Institute led practical training on your device (optional for this Diploma). The cost for this option is an additional $1300 + GST+ travel costs per day. We recommend 1 - 2 days for Skin Rejuvenation practical training, however 4 - 6 days are required depending on the range of treatments you wish to master.
Have your own trainer, or another supplier provide the required practical training for you. NB: Most Australian-based suppliers charge $1800 AUD per day for training.

A course is a single learning module (theory) focused on a specific skill or topic. A Diploma is a structured collection of courses that, once all completed, results in a formal qualification that shows a broader level of knowledge and skill.

OR: enrol and complete individual courses along the way gaining individual certificates, then apply for the Diploma Certificate on completion of the final course. There is no deadline to start this Diploma, you can enrol and start whenever you're ready as theory courses are self-paced. You have 12 months to complete it from commencement of the first course.

Yes. Learners wishing to complete two or more Diplomas must complete any additional Diplomas within a 12 month timeframe from starting the first course of their initial Diploma.
For example - you may wish to start learning Skin Rejuvenation and then realise that the same laser device can do Tattoo Removal treatments; this however is a whole different level of training. If you decide that you wish to learn Tattoo Removal as well, we recommend that you can start the Laser Tattoo Removal Diploma, or simply just start with the Laser Tattoo Removal Theory Online course.
Please note: individual course certificates and re-certification will not carry over — these courses must be completed again for any additional Diplomas.

Selected training packages are decided on based on the sale of the device, any additional requested training may be at extra cost to you. This will be made clear - there are no hidden extras!
DIPLOMA CONDITIONS
The Diploma cost is per person. Access to the online content is only issued after receipt of full payment.
You’ll gain course certifications by completing each required educational step, as you move through the Diploma pathway. On successful completion of the full programme you will be issued with the relevant diploma, (a digital Certificate) - Learners must complete all the required courses to verify they possess the necessary skills and knowledge, gathering NZLT continuing professional development points (known as ‘CPD’ points) along the way - gathering these also reflects how many hours you have completed.
Diplomas are exclusively promoted to Learners who have enrolled with NZ Laser Training Institute - courses completed at other training facilities are not eligible for cross credits or recognition of prior learning on the NZLT Institute Diploma pathways.
Please note: when self-enrolling you will be allocated all of the Block Courses, we will contact you to ask which Laser Safety Certificate - Beauty or Medical - that you would like to study, and add this to your learning pathway. The Laser Health & Safety Officer course is held in another e-learning portal, and will need to be set up separately after completion of the other courses.
This Foundation Skin Rejuvenation theory Diploma must be completed within the stated 12-months from the access date.
Learners that wish to complete 2 or more Diplomas, must complete it within a 12-month timeframe from when they started the 1st course of their 1st Diploma (any additional Diplomas they enrol in after their main and initial Diploma).
Due to fluctuations in overheads, NZ Laser Training Institute reserves the right to alter Diploma offerings, pathways & pricing as we see fit, regardless of whether you have commenced your study - notice will be provided if this affects your enrolment.
PRACTICAL TRAINING IS NOT INCLUDED in this Diploma. Training in hands-on practical instruction is at an additional cost. If requested, practical, hands-on instruction will take place at your Clinic on your own device. Should you not be ready to purchase your own technology, which can cost between $30,000 - $50,000 + GST for each device required, demonstration in Auckland or Christchurch; this is not considered training.
