This introductory online course is designed to give you a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology as it relates to light-based treatments—without the need to enrol in full-time beauty school or commit to a full skin programme just yet.
Ideal for nurses moving into cosmetic work, professionals without a healthcare background, or anyone who hasn’t studied anatomy in a while, this 8–9 hour course is your stepping stone into the field. It’s also a helpful preview if you're considering training in IPL or laser hair removal.
Please note: If you're planning to take Block 1 – Skin Rejuvenation with IPL & Lasers, we recommend skipping this course as some modules are duplicated.

This course is ideal for anyone new to the IPL and laser industry, including nurses transitioning into cosmetic practice, beauty professionals refreshing their knowledge, or individuals without a healthcare background who want to build foundational skin and anatomy understanding before committing to more advanced training.

No prior experience is required. This is an open-entry course, making it accessible to anyone working with skin who wants to understand—or revisit—the basics of skin anatomy.

You’ll have 24/7 access to the online content for six weeks, allowing you to study at your own pace. The total study time is approximately 8–9 hours and if you prefer, you can complete the course in a single day.

Upon successful completion, you will receive an electronic Certificate and Letter of Attainment. If you require a hard copy, this is available for a small fee.
